ATLANTIS HOSPITAL
We received a request to assist to upgrade the examination room at Atlantis Hospital. It is very small and the perfect solution would be a container outside. This was not part of our planning for the year, but we cannot turn a blind eye to the need!
Vredenburg project update
Vredenburg Hospital - A faith based group has adopted this examination room at Vredenburg Hospital. They have painted the room in a soft yellow and will decorate it and add much needed items to make this room victim friendly.
Vredenburg FCS - A faith based group is looking at adopting the Vredenburg FCS unit. They will give spiritual support and look after other needs, including upgrading the social workers room to be child friendly.
We are also speaking to a major sponsor for the possible sponsorship of a container to be implemented as a victim facility at Saldanha Police station.
Thank you to all who is already supporting this project!

Serial Rape Investigation training
Three groups of FCS Detectives in Gauteng recently completed a training course in the investigation of serial rape cases hosted by Matla A Bana. Expert serial rape investigator Brig. Labuschagne shared his expert knowledge with all the detectives. Currently there are more than 500 serial rape cases open in Gauteng alone. We would like to thank Mosaiek Church for the sponsorship of the venue and catering.
Khayelitsha Child Friendly Facility opens
The opening of the Khayelitsha Child Friendly Facility marks the 5th of its kind in the Western Cape. This was opened on the 29th March after nearly a year of planning, negotiations and construction. We would like to thank Col Harri at the WC Provincial office for all her assistance and then the sponsorship of Rotary Claremont and Shellard Media - who made this possible.
