It took Jos 4 months and nearly 12000 kms to cycle from Cairo to Cape Town. He nearly died in an accident and had to camp in the middle of now where many nights. He did all of this to raise funds for Matla A Bana.

We are happy to announce that Jos raised R100 000 for our charity. Thank you to all of you who have supported - and thank you to Jos for doing this for us.

MAB & Yad Emmanuel

MAB WC manager, Monique Strydom, together with Ingrid Venter (Radio Tygerberg), founded the Yad Emmanuel Network group. The aim of the group is to connect women working in the charity world, in order for them to share knowledge and resources.

Supporting our Super Fit Police officers

Today, MAB Manager Monique Strydom, paid a visit to the first group of SAPS WC police members doing the "xtreme" boot camp of 6 weeks. She was chosen to inspire this group not to GIVE UP and shared her survival skills and techniques with them! We heard she made a quick departure when she was asked to join them for a cardio session!

Last Vodacom Packs

Lizel and Vodacom volunteers, Shanaaz, Ebrahim (Vodacom Foundation),Elaine (Yebo Hero)
We have managed to stretch the budget for the Vodacom Comfort project and is glad to announce that the last packs were packed last week. Thanx to the sponsorship of Vodacom, MAB managed to supply more than 5000 comfort packs to child-abuse victims in Gauteng and the Western Cape. We would like to thank Vodacom for their support - not only by donating the needed funding, but to all the volunteers who helped with the packing in Gauteng!

MAB faith based volunteer groups will continue to supply comfort packs to the SAPS units adopted by them, until funding is secured for the next year.
